A Message From Reactor Operators at TVA

The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) produces power for 10 million people across 7 states. Nearly half of that power is produced in their 3 Nuclear Power Plants. The IBEW represents approximately 3,000 permanent employees across nearly all of TVA's 60 sites from Virginia to Mississippi. Nuclear reactor operators and staff across TVA's 3 nuclear plants shared their reasons for valuing IBEW representation in the video below.

"As a union member I take pride knowing that the fuel rods we load into our core at Watts Bar have been touched by union members at the beginning of the process; I'd like to be able to say they're touched at the middle of the process, from production to assembly at your plant."

-Trip Geiger, Watts Bar Assistant Reactor Operator

Whether its the nuclear operators, the electricians wiring nuclear plants, workers at the utility companies supplying nuclear power, Blairsville, or the 2 other Westinghouse Fuel Fabrication Facilities, they are benefitting from union representation.
